L. D. Borgens

L.D. Borgens

Mr. Borgens is the founder of Training Resource Group, based in Stockton California. Mr. Borgens first became involved in security and protective training while enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served two tours overseas and earned the Good Conduct medal and the Rifle Expert badge for marksmanship, the highest award given.  After receiving an honorable discharge, he began working as a private investigator in Northern California specializing in locating people and locating assets.

While employed as a private investigator, he attended the Advanced Executive Protection Program at Executive Security International in Aspen, Colorado. This 600 hour course of training includes all aspects of security and protective measures for providing a safe environment for Executives, Celebrities & Dignitaries.

At the conclusion of his residence training he graduated at the top of his class and was offered a position with the Protective Services division of Gavin de Becker, Inc. to provide direct physical protection for celebrities, public figures, entertainers and executives in Beverly Hills, Bel Aire, Century City and the Los Angeles area.

In 1993, Mr. Borgens founded Delta Protective Services, a licensed Private Security and Investigative agency based in Stockton, California and employing agents throughout Northern California.

His business has continued to thrive as a professional regional security firm recognized by the business community. In 1996, Mr. Borgens was awarded the "Small Business Person" of the year award by the Chamber of Commerce and in 2006 received the "Small Business Persons of the Year" award from the Sacramento District Office of the United State Small Business Administration. Mr. Borgens remains committed to community involvement and is active in various local and national organizations.

Ron Bacigalupo

Ron Bacigalupo

Mr. Bacigalupo serves as the Senior Firearms Instructor for TRG. In addition to being a certified Bureau of Security and Investigative Services Firearm Instructor, he also is certified as a California Peace Officer Standards and Training Firearms Instructor, California Department of Justice Handgun Safety Instructor, PC 832 Arrest Written and Firearms Instructor, and California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Firearms, Chemical Agents, and Impact Munitions Instructor.

Mr. Bacigalupo has attended numerous firearms and chemical agents instructor courses including: Federal Bureau of Investigation Firearms Instructor Course, NRA Basic Pistol and Shotgun Instructors Course, NRA Personal Protection and Home Firearm Safety Course, Glock Firearm Instructor and Armorer Course, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Firearms and Chemical Agents Instructor Course, Gunsite Law Enforcement Instructors Course and Federal Laboratories and Defense Technology Corp of America OC Aerosol Projectors, Chemical Munitions, Specialty Impact Munitions and Distraction Devices Instructor Course.

Currently, Mr. Bacigalupo is a full-time Correctional Lieutenant for the California Department of Corrections (CDCR). He currently works for the Northern Transportation Unit which transports convicted inmates throughout California. In over twenty years of CDCR experience, he managed the firearms program for the Richard A McGee Correctional Training Center and has managed and trained correctional cadets at the Basic Correctional Officer Academy located in Galt, California. Mr. Bacigalupo served as a Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) Commander for approximately 10 years at several correctional facilities located in California.

Mr. Bacigalupo is also the lead firearms and chemical agents instructor for the San Joaquin Delta College Basic Peace Officer Academy. In addition, he serves as an Adjunct Instructor for the International Training Group (ITG), providing assistance and expertise in the Training Services Division. He is a graduate of ITG's Basic Executive Protection Agents Training Course, Executive Protection Handgun Course, and the Executive Protection High Risk Environment Weapons Program.

He has worked several details for The Steele Foundation that include Work Place Violence Issues, security of private venues in the Bay Area, and provided security for a recent strike in the Bay Area. He was also one of the first security details in New Orleans directly after Hurricane Katrina, providing security and protection to clients in the affected area.

With over 32 years of active and reserve duty in the Army National Guard, Mr. Bacigalupo retired in 2002 as a Command Sergeant Major of a Military Police Battalion. He served numerous other assignments including: Senior Operations Sergeant Major for Operation Noble Eagle at Fort Lewis, Washington; Senior Operations Sergeant Major at State Headquarters in the Crises Action Center providing emergency information to general staff officers during State declared emergencies; served in the Ukraine as the Senior NCO providing logistical and training support to the Ukraine Army and NCO Corps; served in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm as a First Sergeant in a Combat Military Police Company; and served several tours in Korea during Team Spirit.

During his military career, Mr. Bacigalupo has been awarded numerous awards and decorations including his highest achievements of Legion of Merit and Bronze Star Medals.

Adolfo Carrera

Adolfo Carerra

Mr. Carrera was born and raised in Los Angeles California where he began his security career in 1976.

During the 30 years he has been involved in private security, Mr. Carrera provided field and classroom training for security officers, helping over 400 officers obtain their California State Guard Registration Card (Guard Card) from BSIS and has been instrumental in the development of TRG's training curriculum.

In addition, Mr. Carrera is a Red Cross certified First Aid, Adult / Child / Infant CPR and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) instructor and TASER certified instructor.

He serves as the director of training and is the primary instructor for Power to Arrest (PTA), Basic Security Training, Advanced Security Training, Guard Card Annual Refresher Training, Arrest Control Tactics and First Aid/CPR/AED courses, meeting all BSIS training requirements for security officers.
